Humberto Baquerizo
Humberto Baquerizo is the President / CEO of Mentor U Connect, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower students with both the academic and social-emotional skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond. He is a Hispanic Commissioner for the City of Newark Mayor’s Office of International Relations and Diaspora Affairs (MOIRDA). He is the Program Development Specialist for the Office for Diversity and Community Engagement at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). He is also a co-founder team member of the Community Health Justice Lab (CHJL) at Rutgers School of Public Health. Mr. Baquerizo has a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Caldwell University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a BS in Engineering Science from NJIT. His research interest includes; SDOH, Student Success, Grit, Resilience, and URM Pipeline initiatives.
