Alejandro Martinez, MSW, is a Queer, Bilingual, Latinx Speaker and Psychotherapist based in Cleveland, Ohio. Alejandro is a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in providing culturally affirming services for Latinx and LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Prior to becoming a full-time therapist, Alejandro spent time as a student affairs professional in higher education at Washington University, Oberlin College, and Case Western Reserve University in the areas of residence life, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and student leadership. As a mental health professional, Alejandro is aware of the difficulties college students face, and works to help students navigate the stresses of academics, identity development, and mental health. Alejandro has a passion for uplifting oppressed and underrepresented communities of color from a trauma-informed, mental health, and resilience perspective using therapy techniques and facets of decolonization.
