Joe Flores
Joe Flores is an inspiring individual who has overcome significant challenges to pursue his dreams. As a Mexican-American, he faced barriers such as being formerly incarcerated, low income, and a disabled veteran. Despite these hurdles, he persevered and attained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, with a goal of making a difference in family and criminal law. His determination and dedication to education are evident as he not only earned his bachelor’s degree but also pursued 10 associate degrees, showcasing his passion for learning. Currently working on his master’s degree and embarking on his first year of law school, Joe continues to excel academically. Beyond his academic achievements, Joe actively contributes to his community by serving on the student government at CSU Stanislaus. He strives to use his experiences and knowledge to uplift and advocate for others in similar situations. Joe’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and how one’s determination can lead to success and meaningful contributions to society.
