Mariana Floran has been working in higher education at Texas Woman’s University for 5 years. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions. She empowers students and families alike through her work in admissions, involvement in leading student organizations, and experience as a TWU alumna. Mariana comes from an immigrant family and is a first generation student who moved from Mexico to Texas at the age of 7. Having faced cultural challenges and language barriers, she is now a graduate student and hopes to continue her career in higher education. She strives to encourage young LantinX adults to do the same.
