We take care of all the conference details, but you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport, conference location, restaurants, attractions, and your hotel. If you won’t be joining us by staying at the official conference hotel, be sure to check the proximity of your hotel to the conference location, as students often tell us that being close made their experience that much better.
If it takes you more than eight hours to drive to this conference, Latinx Leads recommends that you consider flying. New York/New Jersey has three major airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA). And Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) are other airports that may provide cheaper or more convenient flights.
Latinx Leads recommends using New York’s/ New Jersey’s plentiful, convenient, and inexpensive taxi, train, bus, or the famed subway as your primary means of traveling through the New York Metropolitan area. Take the hotel shuttle to the airport; there you will take the Airtran to connect to the Path/NJ Transit system which takes you directly to NYC.
Explore some of the top attractions and activities in NYC! AirTrain is a simpler, easier way to get to, from, and around Newark Liberty International Airport and offers passengers the way to get to and from Manhattan.
